The Challenge
Traditional university clearance is often a chaotic process involving multiple physical offices, paper forms, and manual signatures. This leads to long queues, lost documents, and a lack of real-time visibility for both students and administrators.
The Solution & Architecture
I developed a monorepo system with a "sequential-only" flow. Students cannot skip stages; they must receive approval from one department before the next becomes active. The system includes real-time notifications via Socket.io and automated Gmail SMTP alerts to keep all parties informed as clearance progresses.
Impact & Results
The system digitizes the entire graduation roadmap, providing administrators with detailed analytics and charts to monitor progress. It ensures data integrity through GridFS document uploads and provides students with a downloadable digital clearance certificate once all stages are complete.
